What is Border Insurance?

Border Insurance is a compulsory insurance for vehicles with foreign license plates circulating within Albania.

What does it cover?

– SIGAL covers the civil liability of the owner or driver of the motor vehicle, in full compliance with the Law “On compulsory insurance in the transport sector” regarding material, health and property damages caused to third parties while traveling by car. This also includes injuries to passengers.
Insurance period
– This insurance period can range from: 15 days, 30 days, 45 days, 6 months and 1 year.
– The insurance coverage starts immediately.

* Coverage area: Albania
AutoSOS is only valid for:
* Passenger vehicles 4+1, 6+1 seats.
* Microbuses up to 8+1 seats.
* Vehicles for transportation of goods with max weight up to 3.5 tons
* Vehicles up to 20 years of circulation.
